Michael Ryan Jr.
Michael J Ryan started NocturneArts in 2011. He is currently a member of the Artworks Loveland studio community in Loveland, CO. Ryan's paintings are contemplative works, influenced heavily on the Dutch masters, French and American Impressionists, J.M.W. Turner, Constable and painters of the American Midwest and West.
His work is meant to invoke feeling and sentiment...a shared appreciation for the world around us that we can see...and the parts that remain unseen and unnamed. The paintings that come out of his studio are a mash up of the technique and materials of his heroes, and his own techniques discovered during a "long, meandering journey of personal struggle and constant artistic growth."
The nocturneARTSinitiative (NOCAI) stems from Ryan's love of street art, drawing and experimental technique...Goals for this project are broad and reaching.
"I strive to communicate the chaotic order of nature through the repetition of natural forms and colors. The landscape is always at play with the elements and the air, and each painting is my representation of the alchemy of the natural world." - Ryan
